We spent a night here in a quiet and peaceful place. A beautiful place to stop and spend the night. There are several benches, a fire pit, some playground equipment for children, and even a toilet! You're standing in the forest, so it's nice and quiet. The path is gravel, but parking spots might be a problem after heavy rain if your vehicle is very heavy. However, we had no problems with our car and spent a pleasantly quiet night here. This idyllic place was born of tragedy. On August 23, 1961, a gas eruption was followed by a massive explosion. The approximately 100-meter-high column of flames burned for 42 hours, creating a "daylight-like" light that was visible up to 20 kilometers across the night sky. The gas, which escaped under very high pressure for six days, carved a crater 150 meters in diameter and then built a 12-meter-high earth wall around it. In place of the crater, a five-meter-deep pond emerged, ideal for fishing today. The surrounding embankment is now covered with noble poplar trees. In 2006, on the anniversary of the eruption, the municipality fenced off the area with pedestrian bridges, established rest areas, and erected a memorial plaque.
