A small, typical Mauritanian-Fulani eco-village with a small guesthouse and four huts. Parking is available on the guesthouse grounds. There is a small outdoor toilet. The water supply is intermittent; when it is, it comes from a well. The welcome is incredibly warm; the village chief and his wife will do everything to make you feel welcome. Stopping here will be a highlight of your trip. Fifty years ago, they fenced off a few hectares of a very arid area, prohibiting all access, and now a magnificent forest shelters a beautiful variety of birds. If you have a day to spare, it's well worth taking the time to walk through it, with the chief's permission.
