Lovely off grid out in the wilds park up. Drive to the old monastery on the hill and follow the dirt track towards the extinct volcano. You’ll pass some rubbish but don’t let that put you off, you’ll traverse down a steep incline and then follow the dirt track to the pine forest. There are a multitude of options here to park. Some lovely spots in the woods. There is a reasonable 4G cell network on the outer edge of the woods, the further in you go the weaker it gets. If you love wildlife and geology then this is the spot for you. Extinct volcano to climb and old lava fields. We’ve seen Jackals and large birds of prey. Might be doable in vehicles that are not 4x4 but have high ground clearance.
