Self contained camping just minutes from Launceston CBD - a great place to base yourself for exploring North Tasmania. No bookings required. Turn left as you enter the property to find the camping sites - plenty of spots behind the lakes! Pick any available spot, we'll catch up with you later in the afternoon. Sites are unpowered. Toilets and drinking water are available. Taps are provided around camping ground for the purpose of filling water tanks in camping vehicles. A $2.00 fee applies per fill with honesty boxes are provided at each tap. Connecting to water taps on a permanent basis is not permitted. Generators can be run between the hours of 9am till 4pm. Please consider other guests. Old Mac's has a biocycle sewerage system which cannot tolerate chemical waste being placed down it. There is a dump point at St Leonards Picnic Grounds 1.5 kms away. Pets are allowed but they must be on a lead at all times. Owners must pick up and dispose of animal waste promptly & appropriately. It is accessible to RVs, camper trailers, caravans and big rigs. Camping in tents is not permitted. Closes seasonally during winter.
