On the road along the lake, leading to the bear sanctuary, there are lots of nice parking opportunities. Many locals come here during the weekend to fish and picnic. There are two large gravel parking bays, but it's also possible to park on the grassy track running a bit lower, on the edge of the lake. There is some noise from the road on the other side of the lake, but it's quiet at night.
