OK Koral

OK Koral is a family-run camp and biofarm in the natural, quiet setting of the Skadar lake area, just by Orahovstica river. Campers, vans and trailers can be parked on the field, by the fence of the camp. The area is remote from the main touristy spots, traffic and passer-byes, and very safe. The camp itself is organized around a small wooden house and terrace where guests can relax, meet each others or exchange with the staff (Montenegrin natives, as well as international volunteers). English is spoken by all. Access to electricity and Wifi is provided. The restaurant, which offers breakfasts and dinners, uses as much local and organic products as possible. Most vegetables are from the garden. Animals are accepted. Don't hesitate to ask the staff for local information about the lake or the country :) HOW TO GET THERE: there are two different ways to get to OK Koral. 1st way: "the easy one": On M2, coming from Virpazar, in the direction of the coast, carry on for approx 1,8km until you reach Kalemper Petrol Station. Behind the station, on the right, there is the start of a small road as well as a sign for the camp. Follow the road for about 600m (you will cross a tiny concrete bridge at some point) carry on until you see the river crossing. DON'T cross it! The camp is about 100 m on the right, you will see car tracks going in its direction. There you are. 2nd way aka "the one that google maps is showing": Coming from Podgorica on E65, turn right just before reaching Virpazar, you will see a restaurant called "Crmnica", carry on for approx. 2km (don't take the way going uphill on the right, just carry on) the river will be on your left. You will see a small river crossing. The river is shallow enough to cross from the end of may, and properly dry from july. Cross carefully (most vans are okay but it can be an issue for really long Campers). 50m after crossing, you will see car tracks on your left, follow them, carry on for 100m. Here you are.
