Sweetwater Campground

Upper Sweetwater Recreation Area on BLM Land is a free site with amenities. There are 6 large marked free sites that you can stay at for up to 14 days. The road is paved, but is a bit potholed that has been filled. Each site is on level ground and includes a fire pit, picnic table, ramada at the picnic table, and grill. There is also a vault toilet on site. There is no trash service or cell signal at the campground. There is a second free BLM site about a mile up the road, called Laguna Mountain Campground, if it is full. Hiking, biking, wildlife viewing, and target shooting are available near this recreation area. Also about a 40 minute drive to Pinnacles National Park.
