(132 31) Petroupoli - Unnamed Road

Very beautiful place on the rooftops of Athens with an incredible view. It is the top of the mountain so the road is a bit steep and sandy / stony at times, but definitely accessible without 4x4. Perhaps not recommended for larger vans as there is no possibility of turning at the end. There is an abandoned radio station at the end of the road that is closed by a gate you must not enter, but it is easy to park on the side of the road before reaching the gate. We felt safe and calm up there, but in the morning the radio people were checking something at the station. They didn't bother to park there and were even very nice when they spoke to us! If you don't want to go all the way to the gate and stand on the side of the road, there are probably a lot of spots already before you get to the top.
