Pourerere Beach Freedom Camping

Freedom Camping at Pourerere. Tents, campervans, vans, and motorhomes. Self-contained and non-self-contained vehicles are welcome. Beautiful site directly on a large beach. 40 numbered pitches. Only pitches are permitted for camping. Diet toilets nearby. No drinking water. No rubbish bins. During the peak summer season, from December 15th to the end of February, a permit is required to camp freely on Pourerere Beach. Permits are allocated by lottery, and applications for pitches for the following summer must be submitted before the end of October. Maximum stay: 14 nights. The rest of the year, camping is free in the marked areas, on a first-come, first-served basis.
