Large, very peaceful car park surrounded by trees with the added bonus of birdsong. Gravel floor. Day and night parking permitted for self-contained vehicles only. Just opposite, on the other side of the street/road, is the Pukeiti estate and center where there are beautiful gardens. This is also where there are, down a flight of stairs: very clean toilets open 24 hours a day as well as an indoor shower that can be cold (free) or hot ($2 for 2 min). The facilities are of high quality so it's up to us to be respectful so that these services continue :) Weak phone signal at the car park. The road to get to the area is winding but very beautiful so it's worth driving slowly.
