Quinta Sol Poente

Upon arrival at Quinta Sol Poente, we were kindly received by Nuno and his wife Brunna. After a short drive through their property, we arrived at a beautiful spot right next to the pool. The pool is their country's ancient water reservoir and is refreshing for a swim on a hot day. Only between October and February the swimming pool is closed. We really like staying in nature and at this place you really feel like you are in wilderness. There are several corners on the property where you can relax and enjoy the view. We stayed with our campervan and slept wonderfully. In the morning we woke up to the rising sun listining the birds. In farm permisses there is washing up area and simple shower facilities which you can use, with probably the most powerful and hottest shower we have found. They have built a brand new 2 x toilet facility which is a charm. There is a lot of privacy on the pitches. A magnificent sunset over a wide landscape can be enjoyed from every spot. The family is very warm and loving. A therapy massage, a dinner or a breakfast is available if requested 24h up front, contact them for more details. The location of this farm is perfectly hidenway, and yet it takes a short 15 min drive to the beaches of Benagil/Carvoeiro The 8 centuries old town of Silves is only 3min. drive or 20 min, walk from the farm gate. It is highly recommended for a visit. it is located inland, and as you go down hill, at the bottom of the town, the skyline is dominated by the imposing castle and church at the top of the hill. The whole city is full of character and you can wander in the streets to discover its architecture, its museums, its monuments & local business scattered around. You absolutely must visit the castle, then go back down to eat or drink, you will find good restaurants with terraces, just ask your hosts before leaving and they will tell you their selection. While you are there, you may see dozens of storks living in the city. ______________________________________________________________________________ Please call or call/WhatsApp before your arrival to ensure there is space for you, and also for a welcome tour with the host. ______________________________________________________________________________ They always have tasks & projects underway, perhaps you would like to help with garden maintenance tasks such as: removing weeding from tree beds and planters, trimming and trimming hedges and small bushes , planting and caring for bulbs, plants or vegetables, harvesting (flowers or avocados, figs ; or helping them in their 1/4ha new fruit forest project. That’s 6h time per adult for 72h stay in the farm. Just let them know beforehand if you're interested.
