We run an elaborate conservation breeding of the Baudet du Poitou donkey (the heaviest donkey in the world), which is threatened with extinction, in Rehburg. You will spend the night in the green on the donkey pasture at the Meerbruchwiesen! The access to the parking space is via a gravel path, so the parking space is best suited for vans or small mobile homes up to 7.5m. The loud IA and cock-a-doodle-doo of the roosters shouldn't disturb you :-) Then this is the right place for one or more overnight stays. The site is an ideal starting point for hikes, bike tours or MTB tours. A few kilometers away is the Steinhuder Meer, the largest lake in northwest Germany with many tourist attractions. A tour of the farm and the conservation breeding is possible by arrangement. Rehburg-Loccum is a town in Lower Saxony in the southeast of the Nienburg/Weser district and, with a population of around 10,000, is the second largest town in the district. Attractions in the vicinity include: the Loccum Monastery, Dinopark, Romantik Bad Rehburg, Steinhuder Meer, ÖSSM, local history museum, Wilhelmsturm, etc.
