(RH2 9RN) Reigate - Reigate Hill

3 or 4 narrow park spaces by track. Reigate Hill car park can get busy at night, so less sociable might first look up this narrow road from the M25 roundabout to see if a space is free. Theres turning at top. Downsides 1) Closer to M25, so more car-drone here, but surprisingly little for position 2) Look on satellite map. That's a manure pile in field next door, but seems 2y old, so surprisingly OK (no smell on cold day! assume summer flies?) 3) Only 3-4 parking spots, so perhaps only 1 van here? with space for dog walkers. 4) Nothing here but parking 5) Only suited to short narrow campers (& exit on one side?) Upsides 1) Great view over towers of central London if clear & N.Downs ridge on right. 2) Right by National Trust land & the flat North Down long distant footpath along top of ridge 3) Great little 1900s hill-fort, views over Reigate. (3mins; Turn right. Gates open 24h). Bit furthur a WW2 bomber memorial (flying too low for ridge); Bit furthur, woods turns to pasture, for great sunset views; & perhaps 30mins furthur to The Sportsman pub for meals. 4) Very quite, single lane road, only leads to few houses. 5) Footpath opposite, pleasant 30min walk via Pillgrims Way to cafe-rich Reigate (3m bus back up). Also 10min to petrol station's hot food & 24h alcohol! (as divertion from noise, smell, flys, isolation & claustrophobia)
