Free parking is available on the last section of Carrer de la Legion Español on the beach side (approximately 100 meters of parking on each side of the street). There were many vehicles there at the end of December: vans, campervans, and local cars. Trash cans are nearby. The Guardia Civil patrols occasionally without saying anything, so the area isn't prohibited. Be careful not to go beyond the "No Parking" signs; a hefty fine will be issued. Also, be aware that the toilets and showers on the beach are not open to the public; I'm not sure if we're allowed to use them. Negative points: locals can drive fast on the street; there's a small soccer/basketball court (which can be noisy at times, even at night); and there was an unidentified odor from time to time. Positive points: the beach is at the end of the street, it's a quiet spot, there are mobile fruit and vegetable vendors, and it's a 30-minute walk to the town center and shops.
