At the end of a country lane that ends at the river water. The only 2 prohibition signs concern swimming and leaving litter. It is a bit muddy there after heavy rain, but there is also space to be found on the grass. Very quiet and with a beautiful view of the village of Apremont located on the opposite bank. That is a small village with a beautiful castle and very beautiful, well-restored houses, including a nice museum and a fabulous large castle garden. All of them can be visited, but you do have to drive 16 miles out of your way. However, it is well worth the effort.
