A few hundred meters before the track leading to the other overnight spot on the lake, there's a second track, not marked on Google Maps (but shown on OSM Maps), that takes you to the lake's edge in less than 2 km.
Be very careful at the end of the track (it leads directly into the lake) and don't try to reach it if the ground is wet (it's all clay).
I used it after arriving in Morocco in the early morning on the Malaga-Melilla ferry, and it's a perfect place to wake up on your first day in Morocco.
