A peaceful and pretty spot deceptively close to the main road but quiet and tucked away. Off a dirt track alongside the Douro River -I believe a service track for the power lines. Enter through the industrial estate, no signs prohibiting access. Track was easily drivable in my Sprinter despite recent rain. Walk ahead and check if unsure. Very flat and loads of places to choose from, trees let you stay out of view of the road. some slight road noise in the day but very peaceful at night. I was here in late October and the trees were beautiful yellow and orange, lots of wildlife & large river runs alongside. I didn't go very far but sure you can find access from the bank. if you have a 4x4 you could really explore this area. If no wind, lots of insects in the evening, to be extracted near water, but no problems in the daytime. In conclusion, a nice find if you don't want to detour far from your route
