(SG19 2NH) Sandy -

Several lay-bys near the parking and a large (but sloping) unpathed area between the trees used as a semi unofficial carpark for walks around Sandy Heath and Quarry. There is great signal - most likely due to the massive mast just up on the hill. The area is shaded by many trees so good for hot days, but means very limited solar. Lots of walks and paths to follow for walking, but also quite a few are fenced with barbed wire so just be aware with dogs There is a bin provided for dog waste only - so will need to take rubbish home. No other services here so self contained only. The road leads up to a farm but otherwise is very quiet, although the parking is quite busy by day with walkers, so please make sure you’re parking considerately so as not to block the area between trees where cars park etc. also the lay-bys on the road in before the parking area are passing places - so please don’t park in these! Probably space for a few vans, but as gets busy in the day if you arriving late and already some people here would suggest moving on.
