The faucet at the public restrooms directly at the St. Margrethen border crossing (on the Swiss side) is generally easily accessible. There is ample parking directly in front, offering ample space even for longer vehicles or vehicle combinations with trailers. The faucet itself, however, has no thread and is equipped with a motion detector that automatically controls the water flow. The attached sink is also quite shallow, making it difficult to siphon off large amounts of water. A shallow container is required to collect any water. Certainly an option for quick use or emergencies, but rather unsuitable for filling up large quantities of water.
