Welcome to our campsite at Birkensee. We are a former farm with plenty of space, idyllically situated in a secluded location next to the Birkensee nature reserve, about 4 km from Schneverdingen. If you are looking for peace and quiet and want to escape the crowds of campsites, you've come to the right place. The pitches are located on a spacious meadow by the farm, surrounded by nature. The meadow is accessible even in wet weather. Depending on the season and a bit of luck, you might spot hares, deer, or wild geese. For our younger guests, we have a playground with a sandbox and other play equipment to keep them entertained. Electricity, Wi-Fi, and fresh water are available. Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a leash due to the proximity to the nature reserve. You can purchase honey directly from the farm/beekeeper for breakfast. Grey water and toilet cassette disposal is available nearby. Please feel free to ask us. By bicycle, you can quickly explore the Pietzmoor and the heathlands of the Lüneburg Heath around Schneverdingen, or embark on a longer tour along the Spitzbubenweg trail towards Wilseder Berg or Tütsberg. The region boasts many well-maintained cycle paths, and the flat landscape allows for relaxed cycling without steep hills. During the summer months, the Heide-Shuttle bus service makes it possible to cover greater distances. We are happy to assist you with planning if you have any questions.
