Schwerin's most spacious campsite: Nature camping with plenty of room to spread out at Hof Christiansplan, a historic farm dating back to 1683. A unique combination of rural charm and proximity to the city center. Schwerin's city center and the UNESCO World Heritage Site with its fairytale castle and beautiful old town are just over 10 minutes away. A public transport stop with direct bus line 7 to the city center is right next to the campsite. Shops and a petrol station are within walking distance. You'll camp here self-sufficiently without your own electricity hook-up or sanitary facilities, but you're welcome to charge your e-bikes on the farm. There's endless space here! The site is easily accessible for all types of vehicles, has a separate, very wide access road, and a gentle slope; from June 2025, there will be three level parking areas. Due to the central location, a road is within earshot – naturally. Whether you're planning a cycling holiday, a retreat in nature, relaxed family camping, or traveling with your dog – this is the place for you. INSTRUCTIONS - It's all very straightforward. No pre-registration or check-in is necessary. The area is huge and never full. Everyone can find a spot. You won't be parked directly next to the farmhouse, but within sight of it on the open meadow in front; drive onto the meadow opposite the small car dealership on the right (see photo with the red arrow; if necessary, simply unhook the white barrier tape for access). You choose your own spot – park however and wherever you like. If we see each other during your stay, we'd love to see you; if we happen to miss each other, simply drop your payment in the brown mailbox by the main house the next morning or send it via PayPal as a "Friends and Family" payment (QR code on the large walnut tree, include your license plate number in the subject line).
