(LA20 6EE) Seathwaite -

Quite a large lay-by, with both rock and grass surface. Overlooking the valley on both sides. There’s free roaming kettle around, they will likely come say hi! The spot is known amongst locals, so people park here during the day to go for walks to the river below or the valley on the other side. They also use it as an overnight place. Be mindful to make room during the day so there’s room for others, then at night pick a level spot. There’s no signal whatsoever but there’s a pub a mile or two down the road in Seathwaite (south of this spot). Also make sure to enter from this side of the road, as the northern access is through very steep mountain passes, which may not be suitable for larger vans and motorhomes.
