Extended level lay-by with parking off the byway to access multiple tracks around the local fields, along the river and streams etc. Located just outside the town, and quiet at night. Parking is busy during the day and evening with dog walkers so would advise not staying here for the day and just an overnight stop so as not to irritate people. Also as a popular place for walkers, if there are already a couple of vans here please don’t be a third as will cause nuisance and get it restricted ✌️ Lay-by is deep enough for my MWB sprinter, but if you are longer than 6m then this isn’t the right spot for you, as you would need to park lengthwise (ps if you do this then -10 karma to you, so please don’t). There is a bin for dog waste only, so will need to take rubbish with you, however where church street changes from tarmac to the by-way and unpatched there is a general refuse bin. The area is very flat (great for parking) but also surrounded by farmland with irrigation so need to make sure no grey water is dropped here as would effect the farmland - take it with you :) Good signal on phone networks.
