Two sites on the north and south shores of Johnson Lake. Johnson Lake Recreation Site is free, but the highway entrance is not signed (2024). Access to the northern site through its southern and western borders. The edge of the lake here is swampy. The southern site is more popular with its small sandy beach and daytime picnic area and can be accessed by taking the left fork in the road. A fence has been installed to keep animals away from the camping areas.
