New picnic area above the Daugava River. A 268-step staircase leads down to the river. Two short hikes also start here. A new seating area and a barbecue grill are available. A dry toilet is also available. Level parking spaces are available, including to the right of the wooden fence. You have a magnificent view of the river valley. The site is quietly located on the edge of the forest. Access is partly on a rough track and is only recommended for vans larger than a box truck. Follow the "Slutisku Krauja" sign or use Google Maps. There are no trash cans at the site. Please take your trash with you so the site stays this beautiful for a long time to come.
