Tuff Campground

Tuff Campground is located along Rock Creek in California's scenic Sierra Nevada Mountains. It is close to Tom's Place and U.S. Highway 395. At an elevation of 7,000 feet, it is lower than most campgrounds in the area and is therefore often one of the first campgrounds to open in the spring. Popular activities include hiking, fishing, wildlife watching, and viewing the area's volcanic rock formations. This medium-sized facility is well distributed over three loops. Some campsites are located in the shade along Rock Creek, and those located at the base of the Tuff rock formations receive more sun. The campsite has gravel roads. RV size: 25 to 40 feet. Each campsite has a table, fire pit, grill and food storage locker. The campsite has potable water, vault toilets and a dump station. Firewood is also available for sale from the camp host. Cell service is good in the area. Firewood is available for purchase on site, and Tom's Place offers other supplies and paid showers a short drive away. Two animals per pitch and kept on a leash at all times.
