East Cape Campground

Great spot to watch the sunrise at the eastern end of New Zealand. The parking area is available for a fee. You can easily find level parking spaces for cars and campervans, and you can also pitch a tent Payment is online or in cash via the Trusted Box if no one is there. The toilets and sinks weren't working when I was there, but since I was traveling in a campervan, I didn't need them. I was able to refill the fresh water in the campervan, and the Wi-Fi works reasonably well, as there's no mobile data there. The surroundings are beautiful, and the road leading there is truly picturesque! Very quiet parking, no traffic, so it was a wonderfully peaceful night with a magnificent sunrise!
