(1934) Val de Bagnes -

Shortly before the Croix de Coeur pass, a gravel road on the left leads up to a ski lift. Even on the way up, there are several lovely shelters for spending the night. Shortly before reaching the upper lift station, there is a very nice plateau on the left for two cars. A hairpin bend further on, at the very top, there is another plateau behind the lift building for two or three vans. The view is fantastic, and there is a beautiful, but short and challenging hike up Pierre Avoi. The road is in good condition and slightly eroded in places, but easily manageable with a regular car.
