Lonesomehurst Campground We used this as a base for the trip to Yellowstone NP. All the campgrounds nearby are much more expensive. This one is only 15 minutes from the west entrance. The location is great, right on the lakeshore and the edge of the forest. So quiet and beautiful. The sites are huge. Some have electric hookups. Some are on the lake. There is a boat dock and canoes can be rented during the season. The last few miles to the campground is a gravel road. At the entrance there is a board with all the information and envelopes to pay. You put the receipt in the front of the RV. Highly recommended & cheap.
