Maddara Organic Farm and Art

The first thing you need to know about Maddara Organic Farm and Art is that its lovely, grassy open spaces interspersed with gum trees are peaceful and spacious. The second thing: sunrises are pretty spectacular over the dam, with the trees giving off a golden glow. The owners purchased the 120-acre (50-hectare) property in 1984 as a place in which to raise a family. Over time, they’ve established an eco-friendly farm, harvesting their own water, electricity and food. If you’re lucky, you might be able to get your hands on a hamper of their own products when they are in season.
