Durmitor National Park in Montenegro: Excursion Destinations & Tips If you want to experience the untouched wilderness of Montenegro, you must visit Durmitor National Park. With its spectacular peaks and clear mountain lakes, Durmitor National Park is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful destinations in Montenegro. We still rave about that moment when we watched the sunset from the rugged plateau overlooking the Durmitor massif. The Durmitor Mountains, which rise well over 2,000 meters into the sky here, are the namesake of the national park. There are two full bathrooms, an outdoor washing area, two outdoor showers, and a camping toilet disposal point. The site is level and paved, making it easy to access with a 7-meter camper. The location is very quiet, and the famous Black Lake is only 6 km away. All shopping facilities are available in Zabljak. Camp Monte in the Borje II district is somewhat tucked away from the city and is currently still an isolated location. If you like solitude, you'll be right in the middle of nature here.
