Hello! My name is Fatmir, and I would love to welcome the camping community to our beautiful mountain village of Zhulat. Nestled in the mountains between Gjirokastër and Saranda, Zhulat is surrounded by unspoiled nature, rich traditions, and friendly people. My wife and I left our city jobs in Tirana to return to my ancestral home and raise our son. We renovated the family home into a small guesthouse and are now working to revive the village community and pastoral culture. Zhulat is located 7 km from the main road (3 km gravel, but accessible to all vehicles). Free overnight parking is available in the village center or by the river. There is fresh water available at the parking spot, but no toilet facilities there (toilet is inside our house). How to find us: From Saranda or Gjirokastër, take the road sign to Fushbardhe(skip sign Zhulat as it sends to old road) then turn right onto the new asphalt road about 100 m later. Follow the valley road (3 km gravel, accessible for all vehicles) until you reach Zhulat. Our house is a 4-minute walk from the village plaza Right in the center of the village, you'll find a small bar open in the evenings, where local shepherds gather for a drink, a chat, and sometimes a lively iso-polyphonic chant. Please note: Zhulat is a real mountain village — you may hear dogs, roosters, or other natural sounds at night. It’s part of the authentic village life. At our guesthouse (300 meters from the wooden statue), you’re welcome to enjoy: Breakfast — €5 per person, with fresh vegetables from our own garden(*seasonal). Lunch — €15 per person (served around 13:00–14:00). Dinner — €15 per person (served at 20:00). Meals are prepared with local produce from our garden. If you’d like to eat with us or use shower/bathroom, please confirm first that we are home. Send a WhatsApp or call at least 4 hours in advance so we can prepare.
