The Bühl farm in Zwieselberg is home to between 22 and 24 cows and their calves. Potatoes, fodder wheat, and silage maize are also grown. Solar power is generated on the large free-stall roof. The Zwieselberg farm (advance booking via the farmer is mandatory, but also via WhatsApp or text message) is located approximately 8 km south of Thun, the gateway to the Bernese Oberland. There are numerous excursion options available here: For example, the cycle path along the Aare River from Thun to Bern or hikes of all levels of difficulty in the Stockhorn area. Perhaps you'd prefer the "Swiss Pyramid" of the Niesen, which offers breathtaking panoramic views of the Bernese Oberland, Lake Thun, and the surrounding mountains. A more leisurely city visit to Thun is a must. It enchants with its idyllic location directly on Lake Thun, its pretty old town, and Thun Castle. Other excursion options include Lake Thun, Lake Brienz or the Ballenberg Open Air Museum with its over 100 original historical buildings from all over Switzerland.
